2018 LDV T60 Pickup Truck Brief Review
LDV’s first ever pickup truck is finally introduced and price. The interesting vehicle has been offered just in Australia at the moment, but we are sure it’s going to be available across the Asia sometime later. The 2018 LDV T60 is basically a diesel workhorse with pretty impressive performance and reasonable price.
Yes, the base model starts at $28,990, and the potential buyers will get more than they’ve thought they will have because the starting option offers pretty amazing equipment.
LDV T60 Engine Specifications:
Let’s start under the hood, shall we? All LDV T60s are mated to a 2.8-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel at the moment. The carmaker promised one more option later, but that’s for now. The oil-chugging pumps out 110kW of power (at 3400rpm) and 360Nm of torque (from 1600-2800rpm) starting a 4×4 system via a six-speed gearbox (manual or automatic). By using a manual the pickup needs 8.8 liters per 100 kilometers, while the automatic transmission uses 9.6 liters for the same distance. Towing capacity is limited to 3.0 tones/braked. The unbraked option stops at 750kg. On the other hand, payload varies from 1025kg to 815kg depending on transmission and suspension.
Pickup truck’s exterior design is pretty attractive, but everything that really matters is placed inside. The carmaker offers Pro and Luxe models, so the potential buyers can choose the equipment they need. If you ask us, the Luxe will provide a higher level of comfort, but the starting Pro option isn’t bad all too. Standard kit includes a rear-view camera and rear parking sensors, as well as blind-spot monitoring. A 10-inch display is also standard and comes mated to CarPlay and Android Auto technologies.
